Record Store Day 2013 {Lake Worth to Miami to Lake Worth}

A few photos to document some moments from my Record Store Day 2013....
Coastars Coffee to start the day.
Met Steev to pick up the latest edition of PureHoney to deliver to Miami.
Work.
Where to next?
Lake Worth's Top Five Records, of course!
Signing autographs.
Then on to Sweat!
Rain delay.

This Heart Electric.
Local music section.
Looking forward to covering this show for New Times in MAY.

Stepped into Churchill's a bit. A short bit. Overlooked packing a pair of boots this trip.
Some kid next to me, "Who is this band?" Me, "Awesome New Republic." Kid, "Man I can't believe I've never heard of them before!"

Drove back as fast as I could to try and catch the Jameses at the Billy Biloby benefit show, but I didn't arrive in time.

Made a donation and signed the guestbook (very thoughtful Jesse Dalton!) Caught a few songs from 2/3 New Coke and went back to the grind organizing for next weekend.

Less than one week left...hope to see you there! Where? HERE!

Sunrise in South Florida (Happy Birthday DAVID!!)

So much going on!

Keeping busy with portraits and prepping for my solo show on April 27th

Rebuilt my website. What a task! It's still being modified but I'm so happy to know I can customize it whenever I'd like. If you are in need of a website change and have questions, let me know. Not that I'm an authority on the matter but I'm not too technical so for me to successfully go through this process, I feel like I can offer a few suggestions on how to make the process easier.

New address is: MonicaMcGivern.com if you're wondering.

And with all of this busy-ness, I've been missing out on the sunrise lately. Finally made it today, and wanted to share...

Stopped just for a moment at the marina. I considered staying for the entire time, but really wanted to feel sand on my toes.

Racing the sun.

This one.
My favorite sound. Shells clinking together as the wave pulls back into the ocean.

Friends.

An elderly man walked by laboriously, with a knee brace on his left leg. Each dedicated step firmly leaving a well marked path. Or, Jesus was carrying him.
Aaaannnnd........my path. Who is reminded of the Family Circus comic?
