Photo Walk: Florida Flora

In an attempt to be more consistent with sharing images, I thought I'd begin a new series, called "Photo Walk." Here's the first installment:

Just a Reminder: New Music

As you may know, Invisible Music's album is now available. I dropped off the first batch of albums at Radio-Active Records just a couple weeks ago.

You can listen to the album here, but you gotta buy the album if you want the artwork with it ;)

A Survivor's Story & the Gratitude Beyond It: Part II

Thought I'd share an update of the progress we've made since I told the story of the accident.

Today we're preparing for David's knee surgery. Since we live on the third floor, recovering in our apartment is not an option. So we're packing our bags once again and heading over to the best Bed and Breakfast/Rehab facility in town, Mom's!

The Road to Recovery. Image originally taken two years ago when David had his meniscus repaired on the left knee. This time the surgery will be on his right knee. Several doctors' opinions of the MRI have provided an inconclusive determination as to whether he'll need a new ACL, a meniscus repair, or both.

Leading up to this stage of recovery, we can't say enough how overwhelmed we've been with the love and support of friends, family, and even strangers!

Just one example was the fundraiser event at Grease Burger Bar, generously hosted by Crossfit BGI-South.

David and I, and even the doctors have acknowledged  the the role that his level of fitness and healthy lifestyle prior to the accident attributed to his recovery thus far. I'm always amazed at the level of dedication he has to working out. As soon as he was able to walk again, it wasn't long before David found his way back to BGI.

Combined with an unbelievable level of self-discipline, it's clear how much working out at BGI means to David. It's a powerful feeling to be able to make it to the gym after being physically unable. Even more, it's tremendous to be able to make it to the gym, and feel supported by everyone there.

So a special shout-out to the BGI crew, and so many other angels we've had looking after us along the way! Your giving and generosity does not go unnoticed, or unappreciated.

Your love and support will surely help get David back on his feet soon. Feet first, hands next...

New Series: SEE WHAT DEVELOPS, Episode 1

The best part about taking Polaroids is watching them develop magically before your eyes. So I've started a new series to capture exactly that. Here's a look at the very first, See What Develops:

While I admit the clarity needs work, it's a fun experiment that I'm happy to invest some time into, well, developing.

If you couldn't tell, this week's Polaroid was the top view of an empty coffee mug.

Tech-y friends, here's your chance to help me with creating and rendering a video through Sony Vegas. I want to make the image as "high def" as possible.  As a photographer, I've been speaking in "resolution" for so long and I want to figure out how to translate that visually through video display. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
