Invisible Music Cover Shoot: Behind the Scenes

In honor of Invisible Music's long awaited album release, I thought I'd share a few images from what went into shooting the record's cover.

Invisible Music keyboard/vocalist, Greg Lovell, had just sold the house they'd recorded the album in. He was movin' on up to the North side of Palm Beach County, into a new place that we settled on as the shoot location.

House for Sale//Music for Keeps:  A 2 week live recording session resulted in a new album. Grab a free download of the song "Sycamore" to hear what this empty house sounds like when filled with Invisible Music. (Thanks PureHoney!)

I asked Greg if I could do a walk through to get ideas and check out the lighting of the new place. He said it was fine, but that no one was going to be around when I stopped by. This is what I discover when I arrived:

Loved the garden! Wish you could smell the mix of fresh roses, and rosemary that was growing taller than me.

And then, I saw the inside of the house. It stopped me in my tracks as it was the perfect time of day for the sun to be pouring through the windows, the light diffused into soft glowing pools onto the floor. The room was so modern, perfect for photos!

Outside, looking in. Felt like I was on the set of a movie.

So I snapped a few more images before I left and couldn't wait for the next couple of days to pass. I had taken photos of an empty room pregnant with inspiration, now I just needed the characters to complete the scene.

And, here are those characters:

Clockwise, from left: John, Andy, Greg, Dan, Nathan, Susan.

Clockwise from left: Greg, Declan (Invisi-kid of Andy,) Tiffany, Jeff. *No kids were locked outside during the photographing of this session. ;)

John and reflections.

From left, Penelope (Nathan and Tiffany,) Frankie (John and wife, Val,) and Harrison (Jeff and Susan.) You may remember these three from one of their first features.
An outtake.

Invisi-dog of Greg, and fiance, Jomarie.

So what does the album cover look like?? You can find out tonight while listening to THREE great bands, Black Finger, Legends of Rodeo, and Invisible Music.

Stop by the Bamboo Room  for what will be a historical evening in Lake Worth music. If you haven't heard already, Mr. Ralston and family (actual family, not the Invisible ones) are moving up to the mountains of Tennessee.

Tonight is your chance to say your goodbye's and well-wishes in person.

An opportunity that shouldn't be missed, if you can help it. :)

See more details about the show, and RSVP here.

Put on your party pants!!
